Counseling on the Importance of Reading Interest in the Digital Era for the Younger Generation

The community service program at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ihsan aimed to enhance reading literacy and culture among senior high school students while implementing the university’s tri dharma by Universitas Pamulang. The program addressed low reading interest among youth in the digital era. Using an action research approach (planning, action, observation, evaluation, reflection), activities included interactive counseling, digital literacy platform training, and technology-integrated reading habits. Results showed a 35% increase in reading interest based on pre- and post-program surveys. Students also improved their ability to use digital applications for learning. The program serves as a replicable digital literacy model for other educational institutions.
