The Influence of Family Environment on High School Students' Learning Motivation

This study aims to investigate the impact of family environment on students' motivation to learn at vocational high schools (SMK). The family context, which includes parenting methods, attention, communication, and support from parents, is considered to play a crucial role in shaping students' motivation to learn. The method applied in this study is a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The research subjects consist of all tenth-grade students enrolled at SMK AL-FAJAR Jakarta. The data used in this study were collected through observation and documentation, then analyzed using correlation tests to explore the relationship between family environment variables and learning motivation. The findings of the study indicate a positive and significant influence of the family environment on students' learning motivation. Therefore, active parental involvement has been proven to be a supportive element contributing to the improvement of students' academic performance and learning enthusiasm.
