Abstract

Social media has become a big part of modern teenagers' lives and has a major impact on their mental health. Studies show that using social media in an unhealthy or excessive way can increase the risk of mental health problems like depression, anxiety, and sleep issues. However, social media also has some good things, such as helping people stay connected, offering emotional support, and giving access to information. The main challenge for teenagers is dealing with the complex world of social media, where they often compare themselves to unrealistic standards. To deal with the negative effects, it's important to teach healthy social media habits, set limits on screen time, and improve digital literacy. Parents, schools, and mental health professionals need to work together to provide support and resources for teenagers facing social media pressure.
