Leadership & Teamwork Class: Collaboration, Not Competition

Abstract

Leadership and teamwork are essential skills that must be possessed by the younger generation to face challenges in education and the professional world. However, many students still perceive success as the result of individual competition rather than effective collaboration. This Community Service activity aims to provide an understanding of the importance of leadership and teamwork through a development class that emphasizes collaboration over competition. The implementation method includes material delivery, interactive discussions, and team-based simulations. The results show an improvement in participants' understanding of leadership roles, communication, and teamwork. Participants also demonstrated a more open attitude toward group work and greater respect for differing opinions.
