Household Waste Management Training Towards a Clean and Healthy Environment

Abstract

Household waste management is essential for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. This study evaluated the effectiveness of waste management training at SMK Al Hidayah Ciputat using a qualitative approach through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The training covered waste sorting, recycling, and reducing plastic use. The results showed improved knowledge and skills among participants; 85% reported a better understanding of proper waste management and a commitment to applying these practices at school and home. The program also enhanced environmental awareness, reflected in increased participation in school cleanliness activities. Therefore, this training can serve as an effective model for promoting environmental responsibility among students.
