Abstract

The counseling program on the impact of social media use on adolescents’ mental health at Pesantren Nurul Ihsan aims to raise students’ awareness of both the risks and benefits of social media. The program was conducted through socialization sessions, group discussions, and practical activities to explain potential negative effects such as anxiety, depression, and cyberbullying, while promoting responsible social media use. The results show improved understanding of digital ethics and more positive online behavior among students. Additionally, participants developed media literacy skills to filter information and avoid harmful content, contributing to better mental health and a more supportive boarding school environment.
